Mardi Gras Spring Fling 2010

Ultimate Experience for Visitors

Feb. 27 - Mar. 7, 2010

Sunset on Harbour

Shake off the Northern Hemisphere winter cold and head DownUnder for Spring Fling 2010 in Sydney…for a week with tickets to the hottest Mardi Gras parties, sensational entertainment and pampered service. Not to mention a luxury hotel just steps from Sydney's Opera House and the climbable Harbour Bridge.

Mardi Gras Spring Fling was designed with international gay and lesbian visitors in mind, with local guides providing the twist to this private affair. There is ample time for relaxation and recovery, naturally, but also many escorted activities and free time in which to mix and mingle with locals to get an insider's view of the infamous parade and parties.

Known the world over, Sydney Mardi Gras is celebrating its 32nd year with a dazzling program different from prior years in the timing of the parade and closing party now a week apart.

"Our local tour guides will guarantee that you experience the best of the gayest season in Sydney, plus party and play in style. Come as a single or bring a partner – you’ll have a great time exploring the city, the nightspots and the lifestyle," say Alex and Eric at OnQ Event Management.

OnQ has planned a dozen events during Mardi Gras Week, including participation in 5 official Mardi Gras actiibities...from prime viewing of the parade to prized tickets to the closing party, from a VIP tour to Hunter Valley with gay winemakers to a Sydney Harbour cruise with cocktail making class.  A gala Diva Dinner Show will be held at the Sofitel's Ballroom one night, and you'll be on the town other evenings.

Sydney is Australia's largest city and is renowned for its spectacular harbor. The city's vibrant blend of modern skyscrapers, cosmopolitan culture and dazzling natural attractions makes it one of the world's most desirable travel destinations.  And the Sofitel fits right in, a blend of heritage features in Australia's first five-star hotel, and looking sleek and stylish after a $10 million renovation.
